Aside from being a terrific actor, John Carradine is also the grandfather of the actress Ever Carradine. His career peaked during the 40’s as this was the time he starred in The Grapes of Wrath and Stagecoach among other projects. He mostly stuck to Westerns and horror flicks until he died of heart and kidney failure in 1988. His grandchild followed his example and she is now the proud owner of an impressive filmography. She recently portrayed the character Naomi Putnam on the Netflix dystopian show The Handmaid’s Tale. We are thrilled to see what she does next with her career!

The actor Jason Patric is Jason Miller’s son and Jackie Gleason’s grandson. It is interesting to hear that he and his grandfather are not close, although he did choose to keep the late comedian’s cane. When Gleason died of colorectal cancer in 1987, Jason said that he never got the opportunity to bond with his pops. The older performer was apparently a private and quiet person, according to him, and he even seemed lonely every now and then. We are sure that Jason takes pride in being related to him, however.
