Golf is not the world’s most popular sport. Well, it’s true, though. The younger generations out there might find it boring or uninteresting, but if you meet Paige Spiranac, you may change your opinion. Check out below our favorite pictures of this beautiful golfer!
Meet Paige
Since she was young, Paige Spiranac has always been a golf player. That’s why it was not shocking to anyone when they found out that she decided to play the sport on the collegiate level at the San Diego State University.
Collegiate Level
She took home the All-Mountain West Conference honours throughout her years of studying there from 2012 to 2014! She has also contributed to her first-ever Mountain West Conference title in women’s golf at the San Diego State University Aztecs.
Social Media
She got recognized when she began posting trick-shot videos on her Instagram account and has earned more viewers than before since that day. Technically speaking, she’s a star on social media, as well.
Missing Out
If you have yet to press the ‘ Follow ‘ button on her Instagram page, believe us, you’re missing out! The gorgeous lady and her helpful tips and tricks on golf are certainly worth the follow.
Followers
Her Instagram page already has thousands of followers at the moment. Wanna know exactly how many people on the social media platform are following her? Well, only a modest amount of 2 million! Isn’t this incredible?
Her Childhood
On the 26th of March 1993, the famous golfer Paige Spiranac was born from a Croatian family. Perhaps she was born in Wheat Ridge, but she was brought up to a Monument, which is another Colorado town.
Gymnastics
When she was a little girl, Paige Spiranac trained in Monument as a gymnast. She was dreaming of becoming an Olympic Athlete around that time. She skipped level 6 and had been invited to the widely known Karolyi Ranch.
Changing Paths
She was 12 years old when her twice-broken kneecap ruined her hopes of becoming an Olympic gymnast. After so much preparation, we are sure it wasn’t that easy for her to change her dream.
Bullied
There has been another factor in her course of action. Unfortunately, while Paige was still undergoing gymnastic lessons, she became the victim of bullies. It is truly an awful phenomenon that so often appears to be happening to anyone.
Isolation
Paige turned to golf instead at the age of 12. Due to her past experience with the other gymnasts, she has taken refuge and shelter from this new sport. We’re glad things worked out for her!
Home School
The young girl divided her time between two places in those days: the Monument, Colorado and Scottsdale, Arizona. Other than this, she attended school at home as the curriculum gave her more time to practice.
Early Days
Paige Spiranac won five tournaments in seven trials on the Colorado Junior Golf Tour during the early days of her professional career. This includes 2010 Junior Stroke Playback from the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association.
College
We have already said she was in the State University of San Diego, but actually, she went for a while in another school. The impressive junior resume she sent the University of Arizona earned her a scholarship!
Freshman
Paige only participated in three events for the Arizona Wildcats in their freshman year, in the 2011-2012 season. That year, her best score was 73, which she achieved twice during the Windy City Intercollegiate.
Change Of Environment
For her sophomore year, she made the decision to move to San Diego State University. She did so just because she wanted some changes in the environment. It was amazing that it turned out to be the right choice!
More Success
Paige saw better results during the 2012-2013 season. She got First-Team All-Mountain West honours, fifth-place honours at the Cal Classic, sixth-place honours at the Mountain West Championship, and a nineteenth finish at the NCAA Central Regional Championships.
Junior
Now let’s discover just how great she was in junior year. For the professional golfer, it was another fantastic year! She won Second-Team All-Mountain West Honors in the 2013-2014 season.
A Bright Future
Upon completion of all that, she got the top ten result in the Mountain West Championship. For someone who is new to the golf world, it is not even that bad actually. It seemed as though Paige was about to lead on a promising future.
With A Bang
To know that Paige Spiranac finished her collegiate career with a bang is impressive. Her last season in college finished in the history of San Diego State University, Aztecs, with her first-ever Mountain West Conference Championship!
Proud
Most of us would be proud that something like this has been done. What do you assume what Paige Spiranac felt with success such as this? Oh well, she did say that it was “one of the absolute happiest moments of my life.”
CWGA Match Play Championship
In July 2015, the Colorado Golf Association organized the 100th Colorado Women’s Golf Association Match Play Championship. It occurred on the golf course of Raccoon Creek. How did Paige go during the competition? Let’s first check the details.
Victory
Paige Spiranac was able to finish nine holes in a 35-hole title match against the Brittany Fan of the University of Colorado Boulder. She was able to secure her victory by doing so. Looking good, Paige!
Follower Explosion
Around 2015, Paige Spiranac unexpectedly received a lot of attention. The explanation for this? Total Frat Move published an article urging everyone to check for her online. Her followers in Instagram went from under 10,000 to 100,000 in just two days.
Pro Golfer
In 2016, Paige Spiranac became an official professional golfer. She participated at the CoBank Colorado Women’s Open and ended in 9th place at one-under-par. The recognition alone was already a reward, but she was able to bring home $1,750 as well!
So Far
Paige Spiranac currently holds one victory under her belt. She received her first victory but only so far played in the Orange Tree Country Club of Scottsdale. We highly suggest that you keep an eye on her because we are confident that she will do so much more in the coming years.
The Man In Her Life
Paige met Steven Tinoco, her fiancé when he bumped into her and asked for a photograph. He sent her a message on Instagram the very next day and asked her on a date. Steven is a baseball player in the minor league and a personal trainer. They both live in with each other in Arizona, Scottsdale.
Put A Ring On It
After her first date, Paige felt so sure that they were meant to be with each other. She loved the way he opened the door for her and bought her flowers-what a gentleman, really! He got down on one knee in Dubai after only a few weeks of dating.
A Swing At Tennis
Paige decided to take a shot at tennis since she didn’t excel in gymnastics. Her aunt was a professional player in tennis so that she can be trained professionally by her. But for Paige tennis ended up being predictable and boring so she decided to try another thing.
Ronda Rousey Is Her Idol
Paige mentioned her idol, the one she looks up to, is a fellow powerhouse athlete named Ronda Rousey, and not a golfer. Often Paige calls her “superwoman” and her role model, hoping that she could follow in the footsteps of the wrestler.
Points Docked
Paige had once been to a Dubai golf tournament when things have gone south very quickly. During swings, the social media superstar checked her phone, and the judges noticed. They deducted her score by a few points, which is why she didn’t meet the criteria for the following round.
Twitter Gal
Paige is also active on Twitter; she posted online this entertaining tweet not long ago, “Idk if you heard, but I have a podcast. A golf podcast from a girl who’s known for only showing cleavage on the gram…it’s an uphill battle. So yeah, please listen. I’d very much appreciate that!”
Dog Lover
With dogs, Paige is completely head over heels. She has posted numerous photos with the caption “Puppy Love” on her Instagram account. She might have had her little boy ever since he was just a puppy.
She Received Death Threats
Paige got telephone calls and text messages from anonymous people bashing for her outfits a few years ago. She was said to kill herself on account of her “tight cleavage-baring clothing,” said Paige, “and I have been harassed my family had also been humiliated.”
Camera Shy
You may have been surprised to discover this, but Paige Spiranac is very timid in front of a camera. The golfer launched her own Youtube channel to tackle her fear and publicly express her ideas. Paige enjoys teaching golf to others, but she doesn’t seem to have the chance in the past because she didn’t have the confidence back then.
CyberSmile
Paige works with anti-bullying organizations like CyberSmile, thanks to her massive social media following. To gain support for the cause, the golfer speaks out about low self-esteem and bullying. She speaks honestly about her childhood experience with the hope that at least one child will now be able to stand up to his or her bully.
Golf Digest Contract
Golf Digest finally offered Paige a contract, but not because of her golfing skill. They didn’t care about never her winning anything in the LPGA tournament. Instead, they cared about her appearance! Her outfits created a lot of traffic to their website, and so, therefore, they had her sign on the dotted line!
She’s Been Proposed To Before
Even though the golfer is engaged, thirsty fans wouldn’t hold back and keep on pestering her every chance they got. And she often receives gifts and texts, from main guys, which are Instagram users. She’s also been proposed several times … boys, she’s already taken!
She’s Friends With Tiger Woods
And while she may not have been a professional, she met successful golfers and even trained with them. Tiger Woods once taught her a few of those chipping tricks! She posted a photo with Tiger online, with a caption saying, “Today I met Tiger Woods, and he gave me a chipping lesson. So basically, my life is complete.”
Don’t Expect A Wedding Anytime Soon
Paige has been outspoken about her not wanting to get hitched for a while yet. In 2016, she and Steven got engaged, and it’s now 2020, and they haven’t said: “I do” yet. She shares nothing about him online at all; as they prefer to keep this private part of their lives.
An Athletic Family
Paige comes from a family of athletes, so it is no wonder that she inherited the genes. Her father was a football player at the University of Pittsburgh where he ended up winning an NCAA Championship. Her mother was athletic too: a professional ballet dancer! At Stanford University her older sister Lexie was a sprinter. Quite a family of athletes!
She Faced Many Medical Issues
She had a few health issues when she was young. She has severe asthma and allergies and a hair condition. Those same concerns hindered her athletic performance and resorted to threats of violence.
Some Aren’t On Board
While Paige has many supporters, some may not like her quite as much. She just started golfing because she actually enjoyed it. Her outfits and Instagram posts have upset a lot of people-they believe she doesn’t follow the golf customs and dress code.
A Role Model
The objective of Paige is to serve as a role model for young women worldwide. She wants women to be invited to sport and more ladies to compete in masculine sports. It is a sport played mostly by white men, so this made her hope actually to make a difference somehow.
She Was In Sports Illustrated
The Sports Illustrated magazine, of course, featured Paige. The golfer appeared in 2018 on the cover of the famous magazine. She brought her sports gear into the photoshoot, unlike many other women.
She’s Also A Writer
Paige is not only high on both on the field and on the camera, but she’s also a writer, too! In December 2018, she began a monthly column with Golf Magazine. To this day, she still continues writing on the column.
Sponsored Athlete
Paige currently has Mizzen+Main, Philip Stein Watches, 18Birdies, and CyberSmile sponsorship deals. She was also featured in the weekly Golf Digest. And Sports Illustrated, obviously.
PXG Sponsored
Back in 2017, Paige also signed with PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf). In TV ads and on social media, she promotes the golf club brand. With the company, she focuses on these four categories: Growing the Game, Inspiring Women, Healthy Living, and Promoting Anti-Bullying.
World Record
Paige, Tony Finau, and Paige’s fiancé, Steve Tinoco, were filmed by Golfweek to try and break a Guinness World Record for the trick shot. The world record has been broken! By one catch, they surpassed it!
She Has A Podcast
Paige broadcast the very first podcast on February 7, 2020. The podcast name is Playing-A-Round, and the episode was entitled “Teeing Off”. The golf star, as you can see, attempts to enter new fields of work.
She Has A Youtube Channel
In her Youtube channel, Paige begins with her content containing stuff about playing golf, fitness, and her way of living. She shares videos that have tips on golfing and other things like recipes and workouts. She has 105k monthly subscribers, and her most viewed video has 906k views.
What’s Her Salary?
Paige doesn’t make much in when golfing. She earned nearly $2k in a golf competition in 2016. Therefore, she earns the majority of her money through social media and sponsorships in fashion.
Still Competing
Paige recently participated at The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, CA at the Genesis Invitational on February 17. She was very proud to be amongst the top golfers who came from all around the world.
How Tall Is She?
The majority of athletes have quite the height, but Paige comes on average, but for a woman, she’s certainly on the taller side. The Professional golfer is 1.68 meters or 5.5″ in feet. But thanks to their athletic family members and good genes, she had a fabulous physique!
Her Very Own Website
Paige also has her website entitled www.paigespiranac.com. Paige is “a rising golf talent, media personality, and online influencer who’s on a mission to show how much fun golf can be while making a positive impact on the world.” is written on her site.
