Two years later, they married. 1991 was a tough year for Fox after having Parkinson’s disease. Pollan stood by him, helping her husband cope with the disease even when battling alcohol addiction. He’s now an activist running the Michael J. Fox Foundation, raising funds for Parkinson’s research. Pollan states that a sense of humor and being there for each other has seen them through decades of marriage.
