Here is another short-lived marriage that did not come as a huge shock. After all, Cher and Gregg Allman got married only three days after she and Sonny Bono officially got divorced. She asked for the dissolution of the marriage only nine days after the wedding ceremony! Over the years, the two of them have engaged in an on-again, off-again relationship with each other. They have a son called Elijah Blue.

This couple pretended that they were married longer than they really were. In July 2000, Drew Barrymore and Tom Green got engaged and spent almost a year feeding rumors that they had already eloped. In reality, they only tied the knot on the 7th of July 2001. Five months after that, he filed for a divorce from her and cited that there were “irreconcilable differences.”

Lisa Marie Presley and Nicolas Cage tied the knot in Hawaii on the 10th of August 2002. The actor was the third husband of Elvis Presley’s daughter! Apparently, he had asked her to marry him only 10 days before the wedding day. They spent three months together before they decided to call it off. When she spoke to People, she said, “I’m sad about this, but we shouldn’t have been married in the first place.”
Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries — 72 Days
It turned out that the reality TV star had her reservations about tying the knot with NBA baller Kris Humphries. They got married on the 20th of August 2011. She went with it anyway since she thought that viewers would believe she “just did it for the show [‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’].” Despite her best efforts, it did not last for long. She filed for divorce on the 31st of October 2011.

The relationship between Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock had a fairytale beginning. The two of them got hitched on the 9th of July 2006. However, they simply could not make it work. Before this, they actually called off their first engagement in 2003 as well. In November 2006, the two of them got a divorce.

People thought that it was a match made in heaven when Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellweger got together. The two of them tied the knot on the 9th of May 2005. The country musician and the actress tied the knot on a beach on St. John island after they met at a charity concert in January earlier that year. In September she filed for divorce and cited “fraud” as the cause!

In 1970, Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas fame met Dennis Hopper. The two of them became man and wife on the 31st of October of the same year. However, she later got fed up with his “unnatural sexual demands.” This was the reason they divorced on the 9th of November 1970.
Mike Tyson & Robin Givens — 1 Year
Not even a year after Mike Tyson and Robin Givens met, they got married in March 1988. In September 1989, they took part in a joint interview with Barbara Walters. The actress said that living with the boxer had been “worse than anything I could possibly imagine.” She filed for divorce a couple of weeks later.

This actor and actress met while they were auditioning for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Jim Carrey and Lauren Holly tied the knot on the 23rd of September 1996, only a year after his divorce. Unfortunately, this marriage did not live to see a full year as she filed for divorce in July 1997.

Their marriage had been so short-lived that Ellen DeGeneres forgot that it even happened when Perry appeared on the show.

Amelia Warner had only been 19 years old when she and Colin Farrell allegedly got married to each other in July 2001. Only four months after that, the couple decided to spit up. However, she claimed that they did not get married on an official basis. She explained that their vows had “never legal.”

On the fourth of July 2012, former NFL athlete Chad Johnson got married to a reality TV personality by the name of Evelyn Lozada. In August of that year, she filed for divorce after filing a domestic dispute against him. She claimed that he head-butted her and said that their marriage was “irrevocably broken.”
Chad Michael Murray & Sophia Bush — 5 Months
The world swooned when the One Tree Hill costars fell in love with each other. They got married on the 16th of April 2005. However, the Hollywood magic did not last long. “We were two stupid kids who had no business being in a relationship in the first place,” the actress said when she appeared on “Watch What Happens Live.” Only five months after the wedding, she applied for an annulment.
Aaliyah & R. Kelly — 6 Months
Not only was this marriage a secret, but it was also illegal. In August 1994, R. Kelly and Aaliyah first met when she sang for him in Chicago. ABC News reported that he had been 27 years old, while she was just 14. They somehow found a way to tie the knot by lying on the marriage license to say that she was 18. Soon enough, the word got out. The marriage was dissolved six months later. Tragically, she passed away in a plane crash in the Bahamas at the age of 22 in August 2001.
Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa — 14 Months
Even though they were together for almost two years before they tied the knot on the 8th of July 2013, the marriage did not last long. “I feel like that we just rushed into marriage because we were so deeply in love, and we kind of had a rough patch in our marriage,” Amber Rose said when during a radio interview in 2016. She and Wiz Khalifa welcomed a son together. Even though they have gotten a divorce, the two of them remain on good terms.

This hotel heiress had been 20 years old when she eloped with a 33-year-old businessman by the name of Todd Meister. They tied the knot in Las Vegas on the 15th of August. They eventually realized that it was a rash thing to do and annulled not even three months into the marriage. In 2013, his romance with his personal assistant suffered from emails that he sent Nicky Hilton, his ex-wife.
Jennifer Lopez & Cris Judd — 218 Days
Cris Judd was a dancer for the music video of Jennifer’s Lopez’s hit song “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” According to him, it had been “love at first sight.” They had feelings for each other and decided to tie the knot on the 21st of September 2001. He said that the marriage felt like a “circus” because of the media attention that they received. They got a divorce in June 2002.
Shannen Doherty & Ashley Hamilton — 6 Months
Ashley Hamilton and Shannen Doherty had been together for two weeks when they decided to get married in September 1993. It had been a quick courtship for them, but the same can be said about the actual marriage. After all, she applied for divorce only six months later by citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Britney Spears & Jason Allen Alexander — 55 Hours
This has to be one of the most famous weddings that would fall into this category. Britney Spears eloped with Jason Allen Alexander, her childhood friend, on the 3rd of January 2004. They married each other in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas. “Let’s do something wild, crazy. Let’s go get married, just for the hell of it,” he explained in an interview later on. The representatives of the superstar jumped in right away to get them out of this mess. Only 55 hours after they exchanged their vows, a judge approved the annulment of the marriage.
